This article about missing Kentucky was like she took the words right out of my mouth. I don't know about the rest of the areas she writes about...but the first part is pretty much perfection.

Wip says "actually" all of the time. That is why this article made me think and this video made me wonder why he says "actually" instead of "apparently".

This bag is speaking to this working woman (after viewing, please belt out "working 9-5"...I dare ya!).

Try to watch this video and not be amazed. Damn, Chris Pratt makes me laugh.

Speaking of videos..we might watch this and this each night before going to bed. Classic.

I watched this and just cried. Inspiration.

This wallpaper will find a room in our new home (I hope:).

Mitch Hedberg was seriously a talent. RIP.

Maybe it is because I LOVE strawberry ice cream...but this post really spoke to me.

I know I have mentioned Art for Kids Hub before, but this site was seriously made for Wip.

Oh B...you really are the best. Don't judge me.

This one never gets old.

Do not be surprised if this is on my holiday giving list for EVERYONE I know...perfection.

This is hilarious. Seriously. "I think some parents should do some reflecting." Word up.

Each morning we remind Wip to be brave and kind as he walks into school. Thanks to this letter for the inspiration.

Looks like this halloween we will have a superhero and pirate on our hands.

Wip is going to need this in his stocking this year....my little doodlebug.

We are almost at the point where this might be pretty cool.

I never thought I would say this, but I LOVE being a mom to boys (honest to goodness). Keeping this little list handy.

Sorry for the Lovin' overload (it has been a while:).

1. This ad from Under Armor. Those legs!

2. This cute little brother sister duo (#keepboysinbubblesforever).

3. Please take a second and read the first paragraph of this article. I laughed out loud, and then got creeped out like someone was watching me.

4. Watched this video with Wip. This was the result.

5. I am in the market for a new suitcase...this one caught my eye:)

6. This app looks like it would save me money when I am randomly roaming in the airport.

7. I went for a run in Sea Island and was so glad to see that they named a street after my son.

8. Wip's next birthday presents will be displayed like this.

9. This video of Duncan at the playground made me smile (those little legs).

10. This video of Wip at the playground made me laugh. Hard. I have watched it a lot.

1. I don't know what it is about this  Michelle Williams ad campaign for Louis Vuitton, but it is totally doing it for me. I love her and I love the bag.

2. What do you know, another article about raising a son that made me cry...click here to see what I mean.

3. I subscribe to a ton of look better, feel better, dress better websites...some I like, but this new site from Clementine Daily I love. Click here to see if you love it too!

4. I click here  everyday to see if this skirt is still sold out. Something about it makes me so happy.

5.  My boys are famous!  Click here for the proof.

1. I have talked about my love of all things French. It is no wonder that this cocktail caught my eye (photo: bartendingbootcamp.com).

2. We love having dance parties at our house (above pic is Duncan getting down). As much as I love my boys getting down, nothing compares to the little man in the #4 clip of this Buzzfeed. I have seriously watched it about 20 times (or more:).

3. Who is pumped about this movie coming out (photo: bossip.com)? This girl!

4. Bobbi Brown used to make this amazing product called Lip Shine (RIP). The color I loved was called "blush" (you know what I am talking about E. Sherrard!). Probably the only lipstick that I have had to scrap out with a qtip. I was browsing at Target I found a Revlon lipstick called Pink Truffle. It may not have the SPF, but the color and feel are pretty darn close (and it was only 5 bucks!).

5. Words of wisdom were once again passed along in this article (thanks Patrick). This is one of those bookmarked and will read often articles. Boys are seriously the best.

1. Sweet Paul is such a wonderful online magazine (I feel like I have raved about it before). I came across this recipe, and the first thought that I had was "my boys will LOVE this", and the second thought that I had was "wow, I have all of the ingredients!". Done.

2. Is there anything better than snuggling with your baby on a rainy afternoon?  Full disclosure: I wanted to kill him about 4 minutes before this picture was taken...it turns out that my "baby" has learned to climb out of his crib. Tear.

3. Jelly of the Month club has nothing on the Totem of the Month club found here. Trust me, I know that Wip needs none of these animals (not to mention it is a bit pricey). He would not only go bonkers over getting a new precious animal each month, I know that he would also take good care of them. You should have heard him when we got home from vacation greeting each of his toys and asking how they were doing...it. was. adorable.

4. Patrick passed along this article to me a few weeks ago. I have read over it a few times and it is one of the few "life lesson" articles that has really stuck with me. I especially love #3 and #9.

5. Make sure you have some tissue when you click here. No, I am serious. If you do not cry when you watch this, you are made of stone.

1. I found this great idea from a super cute blog called Polka Dot Prints. I put our version together and the other night we found ourselves with an hour to kill in between graduation parties. We stopped at the Village Anchor for a snack and unfortunately the restaurant did not have any crayons...Kids' Quiet Bag to the rescue!

2. I am on Team Gwyneth. I mean seriously...look at those legs (photo credit). I was laughing so hard during the entire article I Tried Gwyenth Paltrow's Diet that I highly encourage you to read it...good stuff.

3. It did not take much to convince me to watch End of Watch with Jake Gyllenhaal (photo credit). Even if the movie is terrible (like Love Drugs and Other Things) he is still a tall drink of water to look at. Thankfully, the movie was awesome and I highly recommend it...make sure you have some tissue!

4. I have been receiving the Skimm  in my email for a few weeks. It is a daily newsletter that basically takes the headlines (as in the good stuff...office chatter) and turns it into an easy to understand, relevant, able to have a conversation about break down.  I must admit I have found myself sounding much smarter than I am to folks simply because I took 10 minutes to look over my Skimm before heading into work.

Lovin' (summer edition)

Saturday, May 25, 2013

I am in summer mode...here is my summer edition of what I am loving this week:
Only the Young documentary looks weird but I am strangely interested in the story...maybe it is the Wes Anderson influence?

I have an adorable little nephew with a birthday coming up that might need this bowling set  for when his Uncle Tom Sherrard comes to visit

There are few things I love more than a clean house. These new Lysol wipes might not have the greatest scent, but they sure have some cleaning ability

The picture of Wip fishing at school just makes me smile and think of Uncle Nick in Texas

I know it is early but this Bombay Fizz could be my summer cocktail...stay tuned

If I had all of the money in the world, every single one of my friends would get this W&P Cocktail Kit . You are welcome.

Wip makes me laugh when he misplaces this particular car he will ask "Mommy, have you seen the Mollie car?" He thinks it looks like his Auntie!

This tent screams summer camp out cuteness.

Not only does this dish scream "GO TO THE FARMERS MARKET", but it looks pretty darn yummy

With the new blog look and all, I thought I would start a semi routine of what I am loving this week...

1) My philanthropy class.  Best. Class. Ever. I know that I will probably say this next year, but I have had so much fun watching these students grow and learn as philanthropic folks...it is the best part of my job, hands down.

2. Online Magazines. So, I do not know if y'all are aware that Louisville Free Public Library offers free online magazines (this has saved me a fortune because I am a magazine slut and feel the urge every time I am somewhere to pick up the "latest" addition of a magazine...now it is all on my iPad, and it is all FREE! There is the online magazine that is not on the library website and that is Sweet Paul, this Kid Issue makes me want everything on every page (including the advertisements).

3. I know, I know, I should be in a Spring/Summer frame of mind...I can't stop looking at this adorable top and thinking how it would be so nice in the winter when I am fed up with the boring black and gray. Of course on the Devon Baer website...it can no longer be found. Rats.

4. I have posted before about Dinner a Love Story and how it is one of my favorite blogs. Well, I discovered the Burrito Bowl recipe. It has become a staple. While the requirement of toppings is rather large (putting it at the start of the week to make sure all of the ingredients are fresh...) the sheer deliciousness of this meal and how it is talked about for days later makes it on the most wanted list.

5. We have started watching Arrested Development in anticipation of the upcoming series. I really have no words except that this show makes me laugh so hard. Like the kind of laugh I would only want those people that love me to see...it is ugly, but damn is it funny.

6. Finally, we have some friends that have started a Frame and Matting business. So proud of these guys and this video seriously makes me want to share the love and give them lots o business...maybe it is because they have the most adorable daughter ever.

The Great Race

Sunday, April 28, 2013

Just me and a few thousand others decided to get up and run
It was the perfect day for the Derby Mini Marathon. Overcast, 60 degrees, and a flat course. Bring it. I finished in 2:10:07. In those 2 hours I witnessed lots of "Boston Strong" motivation, a blind man running, and the winners of the marathon passing me at my mile 11 (it was their mile 19).

Before

After (yes, we are drinking beer at 10am)
After the race I was greeted by this little monkey (and Plehn's Doughnuts!)
Yo!
They had a carnival set up next to the finish line so we stayed a while and checked out some of the rides. I highly encourage you to watch this video of Wip and Patrick going down the slide...America's Funniest Home Videos?
The rest of the day was spent playing "trick or treat" with the boys, toasting one of Patrick's former students who graduated from Vandy, and listening to some good music with even better friends at Z bar....good day.
We had to act out the trick or treat part...with real candy of course!
