Oh well! |
In the car on the way home we were admiring the Christmas lights. Wip informed me that "it Christmas time, it not Halloween time". I told him he was right and that it was also Hanukkah time (since he does go to a Jewish preschool). He became stern that it was not Hanukkah time, it was Christmas time. I asked him to sing a Christmas song he shouted "DREIDEL, DREIDEL, DREIDEL, I made it out of clay..."
We are also working on not using the word "can't". Typically he will say "no, I can't want a drink of water", so we have been guiding him to say "no, thank you". When we got home from school I told him it was time to take a nap and he said "NO THANK YOU!"
