Spring Sing

Tuesday, April 29, 2014

I was so proud of Wip and his classmates and the Spring Sing performance. Let's just say it was much different from when he was in the Turtle class...you could (somewhat) understand the songs:)

I'm a Little Teapot

Old MacDonald Had a Band (Wip was really excited about this song. He was a cow, with a bell).

Mom's Day

Monday, April 28, 2014

Duncan's class hosted a Mom's day on Tuesday, and what a treat!

All the moms (and one dad) in the group were greeted with hugs and doughnut holes upon arrival. We enjoyed our snack and went to music class with Ms. Terri where I learned many (many) versions of the hokey pokey. After music class we gathered in circle time where Ms. Marie gave us each a gift. She created a silhouette of each child and had the child paint the background. In an effort to prove that it was in fact our child, she even sent an envelope home of the picture used for the silhouette. That Ms. Marie is one of the craftiest teachers my boys will ever have.

And now for some Duncan art...

Just giving his brother a lift

Repaying the favor

Playing golf with a tennis racket and basketball

Creating a Jack and the Neverland Pirate scene
*if you are thinking "those children never wear pants", please know that we are in full potty training mode here at the Mulloy house. Wip is doing his part to make Duncan feel like it is completely normal to walk around the back yard without pants on. Such a supportive big bro.

There is Something About Duncan

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

Duncan is one of those "funny without really trying" kids. He mannerisms, comments, and (of course) deep voice just make me so happy to be around him (most of the time;). Click here to hear him talking about crying babies in Jackson Hole. Click here to listen to him tell me that I am so sweet. See what I mean?

The other day he kept telling me that he wanted liquor for a snack. It took a while, but I finally figured out that he was saying licorice!
We met Mimi for dinner last week. Granddaddy was out of town. When Mimi walked up to the table Duncan said "Mimi, where dat man you go with?". A little confused she asked him to repeat himself. "Where dat man you go with?" he stated again. A little perplexed she said "do you mean Granddaddy?" to which he responded "yeah....Grandaddy, where Granddaddy?".

I hope these Duncanisms continue...cracking me up.

Most Blessed

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

The pastor at church on Sunday morning really spoke to me. Perspective was his topic. My attitude about this past Easter week highlighted so many blessings...

It started with a night with the ladies....Derby Divas (a fundraiser for breast cancer) is something that we have been attending for a few years and it is really just a great excuse to get us all together. These gals have no idea how much I am going to miss their pretty faces in a couple of months.
I went to a weight class on Tuesday and probably bit off more than I could chew...this was my arm on Friday and I could not straiten my arm for any amount of money. I realized the definition of friendship when I left my children with Beth to head over to the intimidate care center. Three hours and a few x-rays later, it was determined that I had simply bruised my muscle and was sent home with some fancy anti-inflammatory medicine. She has no idea how thankful I am for her.
Saturday morning I ran the mini with these fine ladies. In two words...I finished. In so many other emotions I ran this year for Hope Scarves. Every mile meant something. It was pretty powerful. I am so thankful for my health, and my wish for the world would be a cure for cancer...just the word is hard to type. A HUGE thank you to everyone that supported me.

Next stop, on Saturday, was a super fun Easter Egg Hunt at the Rankin farm. It was filled with sugar, energetic kids, and a beautiful day.

If I Could Turn Back Time

Thursday, April 17, 2014

Aunt Fe Fe sent me a text with this photo attached. Tears just started streaming down my face. How did this happen? Everyone says "time will fly", and gosh darn they were right!

Seeing this picture makes me want to capture every little moment of their lives. I have blinked and Wip will be 5 next month. Here is a little sneak peak of some of our "moments" from last week:

Friends till the end..Happy Birthday Caroline!

Face paint coma at the Temple Spring Event

Finished product

Grams and Poppy came in for a lunch date

My children could spend hours in this one spot (the toy store)

Need entertainment?  Watch these two play "groundhog". Priceless.
