October Wrap Up

Monday, October 31, 2011

The following are the 5 steps to an AWESOME October:

Step 1:  Pick out a pumpkin
Step 2:  Go to the Halloween Party at the Louisville Zoo

Step 3:  Head over to the annual Speiden playdate (which includes a parade down Hillcrest)

Step 4:  Have a pumpkin carving party at the Easley Farm

Step 5:  Be the cutest pumpkin and frog ever!

Trick or Treat

Preston and Wip had the best time trick or treating.  I think the pictures say it all!

2012 Halloween

Sunday, October 30, 2011

Halloween is so much more fun with kids.  I am going to jump start and jot down my ideas for next year.

Wip's Potential Halloween Costume:  Zookeeper (only if he is still obsessed with animals)

Abby

Wip told us about a friend named Abby from church.  Sometimes when he would play by himself, I would ask what he was doing, he would reply "going to Abby's house".  When we asked the sweet ladies in the church nursery who Abby was out of curiosity we discovered there was no Abby.  Just so you will get a better idea of what Abby is all about, Wip told me this morning that she is tall, has short hair, and prefers Winnie the Pooh over Finding Nemo.

"In the outside"

Friday, October 28, 2011

My three boys playing "in the outside"
Wip loves to play outside. When he wants to go outside he will ask "may I go in the outside please?"  (ok, so maybe I have to tell him to say please, but it is a work in progress!).

Sunday Dinner

Sunday, October 23, 2011

Mimi and Grandaddy
I am blessed to have married into a wonderful family.  Every Sunday, Mimi (or Grandaddy) prepares a wonderful meal. It is the perfect way to end the weekend and start the new week.  Wip has gotten into the dinnertime prayer.  We all hold hands and say "dear LORD please bless this food to the nourishment of our bodies" and Wip will shout "AMEN!"

Brothers

William Patrick Mulloy IV "Wip", August 2009
Ben Richter, 2009 KCD graduate, purchased this precious outfit from Belgium.  Proud to have both of my boys wear it!

Ferdinand the Bull

All smiles before the show
One of Wip's favorite stories these days has been Ferdinand the Bull by Munro Leaf.  Grams and Poppy came in town to take Wip to a performance of the favorite story.  They are the best!

Uh oh!

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

I picked up Wip from school and noticed that he had a note in his backpack.  This was unusual because it was a Tuesday and the newsletter for the week is sent home on Friday.  As soon as I pulled it out, it did not look good with the frown face staring back at me.

"Its a beautiful DAAAAAAY!"

Sunday, October 16, 2011

This is one of Wip's quotes thanks to a wonderful children's book called Going on a Bear Hunt that we received from our friend Whitney Headlee.  If you have not read this and you have young children then get on it (a must read).

So, Duncan is in the 90% for everything (weight, height, and head circumference), enough said.

Protecting his brother

Sunday, October 9, 2011

Wip decided to build a dinosaur fort to protect Baby Duncan.  He also gave Baby Duncan a flower (picked it himself).

Maybe after nap?

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

Anytime Wip asks to do something such as watch a movie, have a snack, or play at his friends house, I typically say to him "maybe later".  This always gives a response from Wip (even if it is 8 am) "maybe after nap?".
